About Fool Creek
Fool Creek is best known for its mountain scenery, national forest access, ranching history, and outdoor recreation. Located near the highest point in the Canyon Mountains — Fool Creek Peak (9,717 feet) — the area provides spectacular views across the Sevier Desert, Pahvant Valley, and western Utah. Much of the surrounding land is administered by the Fishlake National Forest. Nearby attractions include Fool Creek Peak, Fishlake National Forest, Oak Creek Canyon, the Canyon Mountains, Little Sahara Recreation Area, Gunnison Bend Reservoir, Notch Peak, and the Pahvant Valley. Residents enjoy hiking, camping, hunting, ATV and UTV riding, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, photography, mountain climbing, scenic drives, and stargazing.
